What are some good wordpress themes/plugins that allow you to manipulate design?
I want to be able to customize a wordpress themes to make them look a bit more original. I know you can change the colors, etc. But i want to be able to change the size of the boxes and such. I like iblog and am looking for something similar but the free version is very limited and i cant afford to buy the full version. Does anyone know of any good free themes to install?
Answer: It sucks being stuck with someone else’s theme. Unless the theme’s programmer gives you widgets to modify those things, you can’t do it without getting into the CSS and screwing things up yourself.
I got tired of other people’s themes and started building my own with Artisteer. Download it for free and try it out. I take screen prints of sites I like and save them in a binder. Then when I want a new WordPress theme for something, I look through the binder and build the theme with Artisteer. I don’t have to write a single line of code. The program does it all. I can use a color picker and select exactly the colors I want to use. I can also use my own graphics for the background and header. It’s also a great way to build a blog theme that looks like your regular website so it has the same look. Click here to download Artister for free.
