What Is A Good WordPress Host?
Question:
I need 2 set up wordpess through a webhost…
i know i have to download wordpress but whats a good host to go with? and after i set up an account with a host, how difficult is the set up before I can begin building a site? and last but not least, can i still import the free wordpress templates?
Answer:
Actually, no, you don’t have to download WordPess. All you need is web hosting that has a 1-click script installer with the WordPress software. Some good WordPress hosts are iPage and WebHostingHub. You’ll find the software installers in your web hosting account control panel. It’s super easy to set up.
Once WordPress is installed, you’ll be able to import free WordPress themes and plugins.

Why would you download WordPress and just not use the one online?
Question:
I’m very confused about wordpress. I see that alot of people download it.. is it bc they have their own host?
I’m also guessing that downloading it gives them more options of customizing and adding “themes”??
Someone please help me understand lol
Answer:
It’s because #1, the have their own web hosting and #2, there’s so much more that you can do with the full version vs the online version like using your own themes and plugins.
However, you don’t have to download it. All good web hosting already comes with easy 1-click WordPress installation right from the web hosting control panel. Here are several good hosts.
iPage – A very popular web host with an easy to use control vDeck panel. They have an awesome sale going on right now for the next couple of days. You can get an account for as little as $2.95/mo.
WebHostingHub – I have a Hub account and I’m very pleased with how fast WordPress run on it. The Hub uses cPanel control panel, the most popular one. They also have an A+ rating with the BBB. I like that their tech support team are WordPress experts.
WebHostingPad – This is another cPanel web host. If you want rock bottom, dirt cheap hosting, pick these guys.

PLZ HELP!!
Answer:
Sorry, you’re SOL. You’re trying to import a WordPress template into RVSiteBuilder. WordPress is a blogging platform. If you like the WordPress theme, then login to your web hosting control panel and look for a software installer like Fantastico, SimpleScripts or Softaculous. WordPress will be in there. Install it onto your domain and then install that theme from the Dashboard.
Or, click here to see how to import a theme into RVSiteBuilder.

I NEEEEED HELP
thanks
Answer:
Do you have a self-hosted WordPress blog or a free WordPress.com blog? If you have the free one, you are only limited to their themes and you can’t upload your own.
If you have a self-hosted blog, there are 2 ways to get a theme up to your WordPress blog.
- The FTP method. You extract the theme’s .zip file on your computer. It will create a folder with all the theme’s files in it. You then FTP that entire folder to your website. Just drag that entire folder into the wp-content/themes/ folder.
- The other way to to install the .zip from within the WordPress Dashboard: Themes: Install Themes: Upload. Then search your hard drive for the zip file to upload it, then install it. The thumbnail image should now appear on the screen. Click it’s Activate link to activate it.
How do I upload a WordPress Theme file compressed as a Zip file?
Question:
Am I not understanding something here?! I purchased a premium theme at ThemeForest and saved it as a ZIP file. I went back into WordPress, opened up the admin page, went to my dashboard, selected the appearance tab, selected “themes”, selected “install themes”, hit the browse button, found my newly purchased theme (zip file) and hit install. Nothing. Zilch. Zero. All I get is a WordPress failure notice.
Answer:
You not only have to install it, you have to activate it. Once it’s installed you should be able to see it as a thumbnail on the Themes page. There are links below each thumbnail preview to Activate them.
Or, maybe the actual theme files are nested too deep. Unzip it on your hard drive then look in the folder it creates. The actual theme’s folder might be in another folder. When you find the right folder, just copy the folder to your server to wp-content/themes/
What websites make custom blogs?
Make a Custom WordPress Theme
Question:
I am looking into making a blogging site. I want to custom design my layout, but I can’t find any. I have seen websites that say “look over 2000+ templates,” which is what I don’t want. I want to customize a layout (like Facebook for example) Do you know of any websites?
Answer:
Why not make your own WordPress theme with a program called Artisteer? That way you can design it just like you want. download Artisteer for free and try it out.
Install and activate a test theme. Then go look at the Widgets screen in the Dashboard. You’ll find more that just the standard sidebars. There’s special top and bottom areas and a cool multi-column footer area to put stuff in.
You can design and use your own color palettes, move sidebars around, use background images textures and glares, and lots more.
