How Can I Apply A New WordPress Theme?
I’ve just signed up to get a free WordPress blog to use as an art portfolio. I’ve got a free wordpress theme as well that I’ve downloaded. Now how do I combine them?! I just can’t see how to apply this new theme, just the 10 or so free ones they give u have an ‘apply’ link but i don’t want to use these ones.

Congratulations! You just discovered one of the things you can’t do over at WordPress.com. NO UPLOADING YOUR OWN THEMES. Or plugins, for that matter.
What are you going to do with that art portfolio, sell your services? Guess what? You can’t do that either! No commercial sites allowed. They will shut you down in a heartbeat.
You NEED your own self-hosted WordPress blog. Start here by selecting some quality web hosting. All of those hosting companies have 1-click WordPress installation in their control panel.
Once WordPress is installed, you can use all the new themes you like. You can even make your own WordPress themes. I do it.
