How to Install WordPress Themes
Question:
I’m using sqweebs.com as my host and I’d like to install wordpress themes which I know are WordPress 2.8.6 compatible. The problem is, even if I transfer it through FTP, it isn’t there! I tried putting in in the wp-content/themes folder and went onto my wordpress, it wasn’t there either. Even if I TRY to install plugins, it wouldn’t work. What should I do? Please help. I don’t even know what the problem is!
Yeah.. I did unzip the files..

You can do this one of two ways…
1) Unzip the .zip files. They should have unzipped to their own folder. FTP that entire folder into wp-content/themes/ The theme should now be available in the Dashboard > Appearance > Themes
2) Don’t unzip the file. Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Themes
Click the Install Themes tab (I’m referring to WP ver 3.0.1. Click the Upload link. Find the zip file on your hard drive, upload it, then install it.
Plugins work the same way.
