Put Google Adsense Into ChaoticSoul WordPress Theme

There are several ways to insert Adsense into the theme.

1) Some people modify the php files. Being a programmer in a past life, I highly advise against that. If there is ever an update to the theme, you’ll lose your modifications and have to do them all over again.

2) There are quite a few Adsense plugins that will allow you into insert just about any type of thing into various areas of your theme without modifying any code. Advertisement Management is a good one and so is AdSense Integrator.

3) The ChaoticSoul theme would be easy to replicate using Artisteer. I have v2.5, but since I own it, I have access to the new v3.0 and it’s AWESOME! It introduces a bunch of additional widgetized sidebars. Not only do you have the usual left and right sidebars, but there are 2 for above a post, 2 for below a post and 4 horizontal footer widgets.

I’ve started using the first top widget to put ads right between the header and the title of the post. It’s less overhead than plugins.

You can download a fully functional 30-day trial copy of Artisteer to try it out. Get yourself a little color picker so you can replicate the colors from ChaoticSoul.
