If you’re using the free WordPress.com, you can’t upload anything.
If you have your own self-hosted WordPress blog:
* Spark up CuteFTP and connect to your web hosting account using the username and password your host gave you.
* Navigate to your domain folder. If it’s the primary domain, it will just be in your root folder. If it’s an addon domain, it will be a folder for that particular domain.
* Once you’re in the right domain, navigate to the /wp-content/themes/ folder.
* After having UNZIPPED the theme on your harddrive, browse to its folder in the left panel of CuteFTP. When you find the theme, drag the entire folder into the /wp-content/themes/ folder.
* Then log into your WordPress Dashboard, Appearance, Themes and you’ll see the theme’s screen shot in there. You can activate it from there.
A less dramatic way to upload a theme is to Dashboard, Appearance, Themes, Install Themes. Then browse to the theme’s ZIP file, then install and activate it. Doing it this way, you don’t have to unzip the file because the theme installer does it.
You might want to try making your own themes with Artisteer. Download it for free and try it out.
