WordPress Theme Help: Can’t Change Theme

I have a question

whenever i click on the available themes under the presentation tab on my wordpress blog, all it does is show me a sample, it doesnt change anything! i need a step by step “tutorial” on how to chnage my theme! please!

    Clicking on the picture only shows you a preview. To change it, you have to “Activate” it. There are 2 ways to do that.

    1) While in the Preview screen, on the top border on the right side, click the Active link.

    2) While on the Themes screen in the Dashboard, there are links below the picture of the theme. Preview, Activate, Delete. Click the Activate link.
